基础教育网校实践个案研究

——基于北京某网校的案例分析

【摘要】基础教育网校在促进优质教育资源共享、提供均等受教育机会等方面起到了一定的作用。但在相关政策制定、行业发展保障以及面临的诸多挑战方面,缺乏系统深入的研究,尤其是采用现代信息技术的基础教育网校的实践特点、质量保障等方面,迫切需要符合远程教育规律的科学研究。本研究作为加拿大国际发展研究中心(IDRC)资助的PANdora计划中的中国远程教育实践评价子项目,通过文献分析、问卷调查、访谈等研究方法,旨在分析我国基础教育网校实践现状,着重调研信息技术在基础教育网校中的作用,并对现行中国远程基础教育实践进行评估。研究从实践特点、学生学习特征、质量保障经验以及挑战和认同度等五个方面,对基础教育网校进行了评价。该研究对于明晰我国基础教育网校现状,指导基础教育网校实践有着一定的应用价值和理论贡献。

A Case Study of  K12 Online Schools in China

Abstract: The K12 online schools in China have distributed many  educational resources from developed areas to undeveloped areas nationwide. This study aims to evaluate the practice of K12 online schools in China, especially the effectiveness of the ICT application. Through survey with questionnaire and semi-structured interview, this study explores the comprehensive effectiveness of the K12 online school from a case study.

Results showed that ICT application plays two important roles in the K12 online schools that have promoted the development of effective learning materials and provided improved support to learners. This study discovered that both teachers and learners benefited through acquiring certain skills in ICT application. However, findings showed that there was some lack in e-learning skills, such as time management skills. Concerning quality assurance, this study found that the collaborative interactions among the various teachers were the basis of the quality, and collecting the learners feedback and opinions was also an effective way for maintaining the quality. Recommendations for promoting and improving the practice of K12 online schools are included.
