美国高等教育信息化的进展与趋势

——EDUCASUE年度高等教育信息化十大战略议题解读

美国高等教育信息化专业组织(EDUCAUSE)自2000年起连续九年针对美国高等教育信息化十大战略议题开展年度调查,这一系列调查报告展现了美国高等教育信息化近十年的发展历程及未来发展趋势。本文通过对这九份年度报告的解读与分析,揭示出美国高等教育信息化正在发生的三个重大转折,即从软硬件基础设施建设转向信息技术服务创新;从行政管理系统的流程再造转向信息技术支撑的大学教学与科研方式变革;信息化发展模式的战略选择上从静态孤立的战略规划转向动态系统的变革管理。

Progress and Trends of Information Technology in Higher Education of the U.S.

——Explorations Based on the EDUCAUSE Top Ten Strategic IT Issues

Abstract: EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. The annual investigation reports from 2000 to 2008 conducted by EDUCAUSE for nine consecutive years has showed the process and trends of IT in American Higher Education during ten years.On the basis of interpretation of top ten strategic IT Issues in the reports, the paper revealed that IT in higher education in United State has been facing a great turn, including three major changes as follows:from infrastucture building to information technology service innovation,from administrative computing to academic support and from strategic planning to change management.The authors believe that these transformations could provide useful implications for the development of information technology in higher education in China.
