国内外教育技术新发展

——基于WOS Histcits 知识图谱可视化分析

[摘要]《计算机与教育》和《英国教育技术杂志》是国际教育技术领域两本权威学术期刊,其所刊登的论文能够一定程度反映国际教育技术研究的发展状况。透过两刊关注国际教育技术的研究进展和动向,无疑具有重要意义。本研究以科学引文数据库(WOS)为信息源,基于文献计量学和社会网络分析方法,对上述两刊十年(2004-2013 )间的文献数据,从时间分布、国家(地区)与高产出学术研究机构分布、高产出与高影响力研究学者、研究主题、研究热点和研究方法等进行深入分析与探究,并利用文献统计软件Bibexcel 和信息可视化软件NetDraw 对两刊高影响力学者共引、文献关键词共现等进行知识图谱可视化分析。研究结果发现:1)《计算机与教育》在选题上呈现集中性,作者之间有较强的连接性,即选题接近,引证关系较为密切。《英国教育技术杂志》具有较强的本土化特征,选题呈分散性,作者也呈分散性,作者之间的连接性相对较弱。2)我国台湾地区的发文数和质量均居亚洲之首,显示出较强的国际交流潜力与实力,中国大陆显示出一定的发展潜力,但与台湾地区相比,在高产出学术研究机构、发文总量与质量方面差距还很大。3)研究主题主要聚焦于交互式学习环境的创设,研究热点主要包括学习环境与资源、策略与方法、理论研究、实践研究和媒体技术等五类主题内容。4)研究方法逐渐由单一范式向实证主义研究范式和多元综合研究范式转型。5)理查德·梅耶、维果茨基和戴维·乔纳森等著名学者及其经典理论在教育技术研究领域仍有较高影响力。

Development of Educational Technology in the World:

Knowledge Mapping and Visualization Analysis

Abstract: The constantly emerging new technologies and rapid development of modern educational technologies promote great changes in educational technology. Since the new century began, governments aroud the world have paid extremely close attention to informationizing education. Although educational technology subjects inChinadevelop quickly, they also encounter development bottlenecks. When facing the rapid development in this discipline and the challenge for the future development, domestic researchers in educational technology are eager to know the trend of educational technology research abroad in recent years intuitively, systematically, and comprehensively. Therefore, knowing the trend of educational research abroad, has become the part of daily academic activites of Chinese educational technology researchers. Computer & Education ( C&E ) and British Journal of Educational Technology(BJET) are two top-level academic journals in educational technology research. Papers published in the two journals reflect the trend of educational technology to a certain extent. It is helpful to know the tread of research in educational technology abroad by analyzing papers published in these two journals. As such, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis and inquiry of papers published in the C&E and BJET from 2004 to 2013. This paper collects data about the published papers, such as time distribution, country ( region), high -yield academic institutions, high -yield and high-impact researchers and scholars, research topics, research focus, and to research methods, from Science Citation Database -WOS based on bibliometrics and social network analysis. Furthermore, this paper adopts information visualization software Bibexcel and NetDraw to conduct the co-citation and co-occurrence of knowledge map visualization analysis of the high influential scholars and keywords in the two journals. The results show that C&E concentrates on research topics, because there is a strong connection between authors. In other words, the closer are the topics, the more citations between them. In contrast, BJET has strong localization focus, because the topics in is dispersive widely. Authors of papers in BJET also show dispersion, and connection among the authors is relatively weak. Papers fromTaiwan,Chinarank first quantity and quality inAsia. The result also shows strong potential for international exchanges and strength. There is development potential forChina. Compared with those fromTaiwan,China, papers from mainland ofChinaare fewer in quantity and lower in quality. The number of high-yield academic and research institutions inChinais also smaller than that ofTaiwan,China. According to the result, main research topics focus on the creation of an interactive learning environment. Research focuses include the learning environment and resources, strategies and methods, theoretical research, practical research, and media technology. Research methods gradually transform from a single paradigm to empirical paradigm, and then to multiple comprehensive research paradigm. Besides, famous scholars, such as Mayer R. E, Vygotsky L , Jonassen D. H. , and their classical theories still have high influence in education technology research.
